Brake issue/ Hum in right front

I had new rotors and pads put on a few months ago and starting last week I could hear a humming from the right front starting at @30 mph and all higher speeds. I does not lessen or worsen when swerving/turning left/right or when brakes are applied. I rotated the tire to the back and it still eminates from the right front, so its not the tire. No loose play in the hub at 12&6 or 9&3 so I don't think its the bearings. I had the axle replaced in the fall of 09 (wouldn't they change the bearings when doing this since its in apart any way?) and all tires are new in July 09. The rotor is shiny on the outer 1/4 inch edge where it seems its rubbing on the brake pad; when jacked up and I hand turned the wheel I could hear some scraping that is not present on the drivers side. Did the installer screw something up in the alignment of the pads or could they have over tightened the brake caliper bolts? I have a call into the repair shop and awaiting a call back tomorrow, Monday 6-7-2010. Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

Ok, first off, thanks for all of the info to my post.
Anyway, I took the Max in today and it was the wheel bearing in the right front. It wasn't as bad as some that they have seen but it it had gone bad. They replaced it; $84 for the part and $125 for labor. Out the door was $225. Does it seem that our Max's suffer a high frequency of bearing failures? So now, on the right front wheel I have replaced: The axle, endlink, rotor, brake pads, tire and strut. Did I miss anything?

i know this thread is pretty old but i've blown 2 bearings from april to july 4 weekend. i purchased the bearing from o'rielly's and had it pressed at carquest both times. (bearing still under warranty so I just swap them and do my own work). I may need to have someone do my alignment. There should be now way 2 bearings went out within months. there was a lot of play also.

2 winters ago i hit a big pot hole. bent my rim. messed up my shocks, etc. i had replaced my rim, shock, and axle. i suspect after hitting that pot hole something is wearing out my wheel bearing.

How many miles are on your car? Bearings go out, it's like PC Hardrives, it just happens. Anything over 60,000 miles and you're on borrowed time. Sure some will last 100,000 or more, but again, it's not unheard of for them to go out with less mileage...

I purchased my ryde @ 15K miles.. @ roughly 20-25K miles, I had my front RH wheel bearing replaced.. @ 30-45K miles, the front LH went bad but Nissan insisted that they replace both front LH and RH again.. Now, @ 50K miles.. My front RH neeeds to be replaced again.. I think Nissan has a problem with their wheel bearings..

Could be something unique about your car too, lowering or custom wheels could have an affect. Or their parts distributor is getting bad parts, seeing as how you're replacement parts are giving you short life. Not everyone has experienced the bad luck you're feeling...

Your probably right.. My ryde is lowered on Tein S-Tech lowering springs and I have 19" TSW rims too.. Its only 2.2" in the front.. I mean it isn't drastic and I did purchase aftermarket camber bolts to adjust vehicles that are lowered.. I'm pretty sure their are lots of members here on the org that's dropped and put on bigger rims and don't have this nightmare problem that I'm having.. Maybe it is just crap parts from the dealership.. Maybe I should try a new dealership..?
