Transmission mount, bap/autozone confused (pics)

So after failing to install my transmission mount on Friday because it looked like it wouldn't fit right I went down to BAP autoparts to ask them what was up. They said the mount was the one for my car, I told them I have a 2002 Maxima 6 speed manual transmission and they confirmed that was what the mount was for. Not believing them I returned it and went to Autozone only to find they had the same thing. Are these retailers just confused or what? I replaced the other three mounts on my car so I know it definitely won't fit in those locations. For reference I have uploaded several pictures. First here are some pictures of my current transmission mount.

Notice how the mounting bracket that is welded to the mount is shaped to a 90 degree angle and also note that there is a mounting bracket for the brake line if I'm not mistaken welded to the mount as well.

Ok, now here is the aftermarket mount that I got from BAP (autozone had the exact same mount).

At this point I am just going to wait until Tuesday when I get paid and I will dish out the 143 dollars Nissan wants for their OEM mount. They unfortunately didn't have any pictures for me to compare to and the mount had to be special ordered so I can't check it out before buying it.

So I'm hoping someone here has had a similar problem or can shed some light on this situation. Please note that leaving the current mount in is not an option, I spent too much time and money replacing the other mounts to leave this last mount alone. All my other mounts were in pretty bad shape, even the passenger side mount which everyone so far has told me doesn't need to be replaced normally.

Thanks Spock, I emailed them for some pictures before ordering to ensure it is the right one. I'm guessing they'll get back to me on Monday since it is past their business hours now.

I've got to believe it'll be the correct part, since it's oem. Even with shipping you'll save more than enough for a case of beer to do the job.

Oh wow I had no clue it was OEM, maybe I will order it even if they can't get a picture. Thanks!

tinik, thanks for the diagram. It appears in that particular diagram the engine mount I bought would actually work, but it seems that my pictures are a bit different from the diagram only on that one mount. The other three are exactly the same as the diagram.

I would suggest to take a pic from further out to get a good idea about the orientation of the mount.

From what I have done with my mounts, the one you bought was just like the one i had on my my car. I have an 01 gle.

I cant make out from your pics, but it looks like your trans mount has a right angle to it and a flat side to it.

If you can post some pics from further out and then in, I could def tell you if that mount is going to fit or not.

Also, most aftermarket mounts may or may not have brackets like the original mounts. In most cases you may be able to reuse the bracket from the original part or use other ways of securing the part that needed the bracket.

That is a automatic tranny mount, not manual.

You did the right thing in returning it. Best bet is to buy OEM from Dave B. or a local dealer...

...I had same issue. So I purchased from local dealer.

Only luck I had with aftermarket OEM replacement mounts are the F, R, and passenger.

Been searching our forums and it seems everyone just says contact Dave.B. So I'm guessing I need to call the number on this site
