I heard of this when I had my Honda, and just looked at their website... they have an application for the Maxima. How it works, from what I understand, is by putting pressure on the spider gears, thus making them rotate as a unit rather than independently. Viola... a poor mans LSD.

I heard a few negative rumors about this thing, but I've also heard very good things about it, people that have logged many many miles on it with no trouble whatsoever.

Has anyone ever heard of a Maxima with this thing? All this talk about LSDs has made me want one, but the quaife is out of my league and I just rebuilt my tranny so buying a VLSD trans doesn't really appeal to me.

I talked to a Phantom retailer abouit their product. It is an add on to the factory differential. I told him I was Supercharged and he said to just get the quaife because I would break the Phantom. If I was NA and never planned to go boost or juice then the Phantom would be ok.

So I got a Quaife.
