Okay so I admit I am a 7th Gen newbie but I consider myself relatively techie but I can not figure this one out. I would think that I could take the songs from my usb and load them to the hard drive but I can't figure it out. Same thing with mp3 on a DVDR. The only ones that work are mp3 on a CD. Am I missing something?

 

Sorry, this is by design. You are not missing anything. Seems a bit silly but that's the deal.

 

I knew I wasn't going crazy. This is disappointment. So CD ripping only huh?

 

Probably to stop people from uploading pirated music or sharing music with other people.
