So for a while now I've noticed a squeal or squeaking sound for a second when I accelerate. It's defenitley coming from the driver's side of the engine and only when in gear.

Like I said it is only upon first acceleration and a little during driving but only at cruising speed... like on the freeway.

I had someone rev the engine while in gear and I notice the engine seemed to move a lot. But I can't tell where exactly the noise is coming from.

Any ideas???

 

Nah... doubt it's your mount... probably a belt.

As far as the engine moving when accelerating, that's how cars are designed. Without a little give, you'd twist your car into a pretzel. Ok, I exaggerate, but you get the idea.

 

But I don't think it's the belt since the sound is coming from driver's side. Belts are on the passenger side.

If I listen real close I think I can hear noise coming from the filter of the intake???

 

Hmm. I forgot the belts were on the pass. side. lol

Check the connections on the filter, especially the rubber connector from the throttle body to the filter tube, and the connection from the filter to the tube. Did they ever send you a new filter? I totally forgot that the 2007+ one had to be a little shorter. lol

I doubt it's the intake but it won't hurt to check.
