sunroof wont close.

sunroof wont close.

i cant get my sunroof to close all the way or open all the way. it opens maybe halfway then stops and closes almost all the way except 3 inchs. what could be stopping it idont see anything stopping it either. it did this once before and took a month later it just closed just fine i didnt open it for 6 months now i opened it again and did same thing lol.


how can i get it to close thanks guys. its 95 gle.

thats looks complicated. i wonder how much a shop will charge to do it if i buy the 43 dollar kits.

It's really not. just look that way. just take a sunny day and go for it. Once the headliner is off you'll see the sunroof is one piece. just follow the instruction and you can't loose but will save $$$$

If you need to close your sunroof in the mean time, there is a place right above the map light where you can use an alan wrench to turn the sunroof closed

wow thanks ill check that out. it seems like something blocking it from closing though.

Sorry to jump in, I was looking for the alan screw to secure my sunroof (until i can set some time aside to rebuild it) and Im not seeing it. Where is it in relation to the push button switch? tks.

I also have a 95.

yes you would have remove the entire switch/light housing... it's underneath all of that.

i forced mine closed lol didnt sound good but its closed now haha. it was boutta storm had to be done.
