so nissan couldnt find the problem..

so today i took my 08 for clicking sound..the dealers said its the injector that making noise so they did a fuel injector service..for 120 i was happy to pay that then i got call from them saying the car is ready when i got the car nd took it for test drive it was making the same noise..so i went right back and told em its making the same noise..now they said fill up the tank with 91 3 times so it will flush it out and if it didn't stop the noise bring it back and they will do the paperwork and send it to Nissan head quarts to find what the problem is and if they have to replace the motor they will do that too..

ahhh no that sounds like BS , if its a clicking sound , could be a relay stuck open,

i never heard of an injector clicking.. if an injector is bad it would shut off and your car will be running lean.

I have a tool that plugs into the injector itself to make it click , its an injector tester to make sure you pulse the injector.

do you have a video of this clicking and where excatly it seems to be comming from ?

that is a first I heard of this...

yes injectors do click, but you really have to listen to hear them. i would say it may be a lifter in the motor, try buying a cleaning additive and flush the old oil out of the car.

Ya man..i have to drive by objects in order to hear it like walls, crubs, parked cars..i drop to san diego and empty out 2 gas tanks and was still doing it sometimes it does it contuious at 55 mph..may be the owner before me used cheap gas be nd ****ed up the injectors it maks the same aoumt of noise when i bought the car with the stock intake but more with the nismo cold air intake..so im guessing its the lifters , valus, or injectors..

you should pull up to a wall when idling and see if you can hear it, maybe it is rotational.

it doesnt do at idle or anything..not even then i start up in the mornings..the clicking starts when the engine is hot or warm..and just put lite foot on the gas and it clicks and go away and then its comes back at 55 mph and its continues..but sometimes it doesnt even do it at all and other times drives me crazy like im driving a really really old car..

I have this problem just as you describe it and took it to the shop and was told it's the guides on the timing chain. Sounds like lifters but he got up in there and confirmed it's the chain. Maybe you can check that? LOL I'm just a girl reading up though... may not be even close

well if its depending on vehicle speed (not engine speed) and its a clicking, when warm, 55 and over i'd bet my left nut its a wheel bearing. Car should be driven on the lift while each one is inspected for noise. I love how 1 guy suggests the clicking is from a "relay stuck open". If its stuck how the hell would it click
And "injectors don't click" like wtf thats how they work, they're solenoids that click rapidly to fire.. ugh

Have them check the heat shield on the bank 1 cat. the heat shield is welded on, and some of the spot welds brake off and causes a noise when accelerating. common problem on front wheel drive vq35.
