I am trying to fit some seats from an XR-2 in my max, but can't find anyone to fabricate the brackets for a decent price. Any help??!.......

If you want to see them in a 4th gen, there are some pics of Chestons racing seats @ www.maximadriver.com

Matt93se might also have pics of his Z seats in the old max.

After christmas, I'll have the Z seats re-upholstered and install them in my SE if I've still got any money after books and bills.

For now, there's some pics on my website.

Did you fabricate your own brackets? If so, how hard was it? How long did the whole process take? How much money did you end up spending on the process? Thanks, Matt93SE

Peace

Yes, I fabricated my own brackets. Welder and shop tools required. had to drill through the floor of the car also. not something I recommend, unless you don't care about resale value and or have to worry about rust.

Time depends on how good you are with working in the garage. it took me an entire weekend, because I had to teach myself to weld first, then figure out exactly how to adapt these to the car.

Cost for the brackets was small.. $20 max. I just used some spare bolts and metal lying around the garage, but if purchased wouldn't be much anyway.

Cost for the seats is anywhere from $200 to $500, depending on trim and condition (poor condition cloth seats are cheap. good condition power & leather seats are expensive)

Sparco's come in different types. You will need to visit a website that sells some Sparco seats or you can open an Import Tuner magazine and their are usually ad's for Sparco seats in case you want to know what they look like. Price is typically around $300 per seat for Sparco's.
