COLORS CONSIDERED BEFORE BUYING
COLORS CONSIDERED BEFORE BUYING
I know most of us own Maximas and we all have a certain preference in colors of our cars or anything else for that matter but I was wondering what colors on the Maxima did you consider buying before you purchased, and did you get it/was it not available??
I considered White as my first choice but they didn't have it in stock in the trim I wanted, my second choice (The BEST CHOICE) was Silver and I'm glad I got it because it shows off the curves the best on these cars.
BRILLIANT SILVER
WINTER FROST
SUPER BLACK
OCEAN GRAY
METALLIC SLATE
MYSTIC JADE
NAVY BLUE
TUCSAN SUN
CRIMSON BLACK

1st Maxima: Considered Winter Frost for a bit. In the end i made my dealership bring a Metallic Slate in from another dealership and ended up paying more for it in the process.
2nd Maxima: Inbetween the same 2 colors again. I told myself if they had only one of the colors with all of the options i wanted i would get whichever color they had on lot for the lower price. In the end it was moot anyway since they had neither color with all of the options that i wanted.... +1 more trucked in Metallic Slate.
Side Note: For some reason my dealership LOADS up on base model vehicles and has like ONE fully loaded for some odd reason. Makes shopping rather frustrating when every car with the options you want has exterior/interior colors that you don't want.

i really really wanted winter frost cause my 98 maxima was pearl white with mirror tint...i was gonna do the same to this...but i couldn't get the color for the right price
so...i drove 350 miles to a nissan dealership to pick up a dark slate color one for $24,990 +TTL for a 09 Maxima S
i kind of still regret not waiting...thinkin about trading in my max for the 2011 maxima winter frost

had a silver 2000 se that I loved so thought new one would be the same but the only 2009 left on the lot was the mystic jade and I jumped ship to the green... did try to get a tuscan sun in at last moment but there were no more 2009 left in canada just 2010's at a steeper price so made a choice and I have no regrets,I totally love the mystic jade and how it changes shades of color in light and distance.

I had various colored cars from 1949 until 1966, then owned nothing but silver (including four Maximas) until my Pearl Blue Satin 2000 SE. I returned to Liquid Silver with my '04 SL, then absolutely HAD to have Winter Frost with my '09, because it stood out so well with the dark double panel roof.
My dealer's internet manager and I perused about thirty dealer's inventories each evening for about ten weeks, and she finally found exactly the car I had specified at a dealer north of Atlanta. The car had been taken out of inventory because it was sold three months earlier, but then the loan was not approved, and that dealer had forgotten to but it back in inventory. She immediately had it trucked to her lot and prepped for me. She has handled all negotiations and purchases for me since we became friends back in the 1990s. I call her my Maxima Madam.

I wanted white with black interior and the dealer actully had there manager driving the exact car I wanted... So I took the managers car it had about 2000 miles on it.. My second choice would have been the silver with black interior.
I am lazy and do not wash my car often so I like colors that do not show dirt or scratches , I can never own a black car..

Winter Frost or silver. Went with the winter frost with black interior. My first max was black. I've also had sterling mist, majestic blue (twice), silver (twice), and pearl white. Not necessarily in that order. I also have determined that dark colors show too many flaws for me, so it was back to the winter frost. I loved my '04 white with tan interior so my '10 was a no brainer.
Went during Labor Day weekend - where 2010 where going left and right.
1st - Navy Blue/Tan - just to be different and not like all else on the road
2nd - Ocean Gray/Charcoal - looked so much better in person
3rd - White/Tan - color combo looks hot - especially with the dual panel
4th - Radiant Silver/Charcoal - last only because I don't want to look like everyone else on the road.
Dealer only had my 3rd option in a 2010 and my 4th option fully loaded.
Walked away with the Radiant Silver fully loaded - don't regret it though as the silver has a nice depth to it.

interesting info i thought i should share...
When PPG started keeping track of cars sales by color back in 1990, the superstar of the car color world has been silver, and according to firm's latest study, it shows no signs of slowing down. For the tenth year in a row, the silver, charcoal and gray category are numero uno amongst new car shoppers. In 2008, it accounted for 20 percent of vehicles sold and that figure climbed to 25 percent in 2009, reaching its current zenith of a 31 percent.
Slotting in behind silver are black and white, which tied for second with 18 percent apiece. Red garnered 11 percent while blue was close behind with 10 percent. Coming in last, with just four percent of the action, is the color green. Consumer color choices have come full circle from where they were 16 years ago. Back then, green held the top spot and silver came in near the bottom.
Silver is not just the favorite choice for consumers in North America. The Europeans go with the shade 32 percent of the time, while Asian car shoppers opted for it on 33 percent of vehicles sold this past year.

When I saw this car in white with tint I had to have it. Black would have been my next choice but my last 2 cars were black and I'm so fussy when it comes to keeping my cars clean and we all know how black is is
glad my first white car is the new Max
glad my first white car is the new Max
As the study above shows, EVERYONE and their mother, brother, sister, etc. owns a silver or grey car. Sure, it's easier to keep clean and maintain than other colors but it just seems so... bland to me.
Had I known the Crimson Black color was available when I bought mine in April '10 last year, would have scooped up that color in a second. Looks dead gorgeous when clean and polished.

The second Maxima I looked at was in Crimson Black. I liked it from the moment I saw it. I don't recall what color the first car was that I saw.
Going to be fun keeping it clean but it sure looks nice when is shines!!

Went with super black because my first car was silver, second car was gold n now black and I like my choice because when you see my max on the freeway, u will know it's me because it's like no other super black max out there.
I agree 100%. That color looks even better than the Black Cherry paint on the 370Z's!
