Spark Plug Choice

We should use the NGK PLFR5A-11 right? Any downside at all using the NGK BKR5E-11 on my 97 Max or the OBX IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS IK20. Great prices on the 2 latter, vendor says they suit our engine but I don't want to mess with them if not right...

I used BKR5EGP The GP Platinum's, they are only $2.99 each and work good.

Where did you find those plugs to be $2.99 each?

Autozone. Their pricing may be by area though, so it's possible they are more.

I just checked Advance Auto Parts and these plugs are $2.59 each. I bought my 96 Maxima SE used and has over 120k on it with the original plugs. I'm assuming may be a good time to replace the plugs. Think i'll pick these up tonight and replace them over the weekend.

Does it really matter other than the proper size and gapping? I've had 15 cars in my short time on this earth and I've never noticed ANY difference in spark plug "performance" being better or worse regardless of brand and model. I always thought plugs were plugs. I always bought the cheap Champion plugs. Please educate me if you feel there's a difference. Thanks!

It's simple.

NGK coppers if you don't mind mind changing them a lot.
NGK platinum if you want to change it half as frequently and don't mind paying more.
NGK iridium if you don't want to change them as much as platinum and don't mind paying the same.
