Ram air intake on a 6th gen .. anyone ever done this ?

So i was just curious cause i wanted to try this out

having a ported / custom intake manifold makes you lose power unless you have forced induction ....

what if you do a ram air intake system on a ported intake manifold ?

good idea ? bad idea ? worth a shot ?

and im aware of not being able to drive in the rain and have a solution to that aswell

first off our cars come with ram air intakes stock. ram air comes in through the front right under the hood/grill. Poorly designed IMO, however it is ram air. the reason you loose power with a ported intake is due to the ECU learning feature. Port the intake and get an engine management system. Even a better designed top mounted ram air intake will do the same without a Engine management system.

you need a safc or some sort, if your feed more cfm thru , you may run very lean, the ecu wont compensate for that much air without a controller or some sort for the fuel
