Can you shut off Bose Subwoofer in Trunk???

So today I put a new cd that I made even with high bass and I just couldnt resist on how low the bass was even at the max, I popped the trunk and the big rear subwoofer in the trunk wasnt even working....... Maybe the original owner turned it off? Is it possible to do? What can I do if I didnt want to replace? If I have to what would be the best for the cash?

not sure if the bose amp has an internal fuse like the aftermarket ones, might want to check if the amp is even getting power. (just a thought)

^^^ I dunno... based on the grammar in the OP's post, I'd say figuring out how to open the trunk was a noteworthy accomplishment.

alpine basslink II is what i used. easy to install and im no pro at systems. sounds great as a replacement for the bose sub. you can also take out your bose sub and then have a port directly into the cab

lol @ this thread...but if it was unplugged from teh amp, there would be no sound period, because, at least in my 00, that one plug is the entire system, if that makes sense. but, sounds like you just have teh normal bose cut-out situation. 99% of the time the straight wire will solve your problem, but create the thump at the turn of the key and a whine when the stereo is off...

I'm pretty sure it's Infinity Basslink. Not alpine.

I'll be merciful. If you read why the woofer doesn't work it should be clear that it has nothing to do with the with the head unit. The woofer in 00 and 01 tend to shut down because of soldered joints that go bad. If you re-solder the affected joints it may bring your woofer back to life.

Do a search for woofer cut off fix. One thing the systems in the 00 and 01 are different.
