Who makes name brand good aftermarket ignition coils?

Autozone ignition coils are made in China $80 - tho most AZ stuff is good - anyone used those coils?
Napa are $135 I think- do not know where made
OReillys has MAster Pro at $135
Advance Has BWP ? at $90 or so - someone said made in Poland ?
Any reasonably priced JAPANESE made coils-????
Amazon sell Power Pro at $33 each- too cheap?? where made??
5 years ago some one sold Hansim and Mitsubishi MAx coils

I always go to the junkyard for my coils. Just stick them in your pocket and walk out. 98% of the time, you will get a good coilpack and more than likely they will be a coil straight from nissan.

The only ignition coils you really hear of that are failing are the OEM coils from the 99's.
You really don't hear much about aftermarket coils failing.
I'd just get a middle of the road coil and run with it. NAPA, AutoZone ect. should be fine. If your on a budget with a failed coil, a flea bay coil will get you up and running again really cheap. Don't forget the check the classified ads here too.

The BWD web site has no home office listed or HQ listed in the "about us" section.
Are they a us company?

@ flea bay....but IMO, I would just go to the junkyard and get the OEM coils. Just replaced my OEM Mitsubishi's with 306K after feeling random misfires and no CEL. Got some Hanshins from the JY which my cousin shipped to me from FL and I am back like new again..

Which are better?

So i'm looking to replace my coils, and ive read just about every thread on which ones to and to not buy. But after searching, Jegs.com sells AC Delco and Hitachi coils. Ive read a thread on Hitachi's but nothing was really said about how they faired. Considering they dont make any high performace coils for Maxima's aside from Splitfire, i'm looking to get the best quality replacements. Btw, I drive a 98 SE, thanks for any imput.

BWD coils are made everywhere
China?
Poland? is poland know for hi quality electrical parts?
And I have seen OEm Hanshin coils in a BWD box (I bought one, it runs fine)

Courtesy Nissan in texas online e mailed me that OEM front coils (they say Hanshin is now the only oem manufacturer ) are $95 plus $10 freight. That would probably be the best quality- many of the local stores will try to sell you a returned part - I had that returned problem at Pep boys, Napa and oreillys (twice) , and my mechanic got a NAPA coil that turned the check engine light on (was bad), he then bought OEM from the local Nissan dealer! . look at the coils carefully and if the paint around the two holddown screws is dug up and scratched , its a returned / old coil. or if the box has grease marks on it , or looks like its been opened 5 times.

My guess is that the outsourcing to unknown vendors causes more bad parts and in turn puts pressure on the local stores to take the bad parts back, which they then resell. Vicious circle.
OEM Japanese probably check on the vendor quality more - not too many new maxima cars have coil pack problems.

My guess is that since there is no scale of quality, Pep boys oreilly, napa have some "buyer wizard" who buys only on price. Get it cheaper from someone in an unknown new Chinese factory???? - they probably order 10,000 of them.
