Timing Chain Life Expectancy
Just turned over 200k (in Canada) on my 97 Max. What is the average life term of the timing chain or other major engine components. Engine runs great, just wondering if there are any high mileage issues to watch out for?

the chain should last the life of the vehicle. the tesioner and guides on the other hand poop out a little early. the tensioner isnt bad if you catch it at the right time if you dont you have a big job and expense on your hands

No need to replace the timing chain. Just the guides, tensioners and water pump will need replacing..when needed!

did my tensioners, guides and water pump, 5K ago, and now im proud to say i have 304,228 miles, and still running like a top
