has anyone noticed their Max making a sound as soon as you reach roughly 20 MPH and the doors lock automatically? I have noticed this since day 1, the dealership doesn't know what it could be. And of course it did not replicate when the technician took it out for a drive.

Anyways, this morning, the sound was real loud, it sounded like a grind. What can I tell the dealership Friday where this can be coming from for those that have had this issue?

 

i hear the same noise but mine is not loud. when the door lock itself, no more noise....i think its normal....

 

i hear the same noise also....and i think i only hear it on a cold start...

 

There is one standard noise, which is ABS test or reset or something like that. If I recall it sounds something like Tr-Tr-Tr. It will not repeat, unless the car is restarted. Mine is not particularly loud, but I definitely can hear it every time.
If your noise happens more than once after you start the car, it is probably something else.

Yeah it's the traction control or abs test, i had the same thing on my 07 accord and on the maxima. It's more of like a little clang.
