Can the dim on the rear view mirror be disabled or have to turn it off each time?

I'm not so sure I'm a fan of how the cars behind me turn kind of a weird, green color when the auto dim is on the rear view mirror. I mean, I like that it makes them not as bright, but I'm finding myself just reaching up and hitting the button to turn that off every time I drive it at night. Wondering if there's a way to disable it altogether or is it kind of like the cruise...have to hit it each time I drive?

Thanks!

Reading the manual, the answer is "NO"

According to the manual:

Automatic anti-glare outside mirrors (if so equipped)
The automatic anti-glare feature will be on when
starting the vehicle. The indicator light on the
automatic anti-glare rearview mirror will illuminate
when the automatic anti-glare feature is on.

yea I dont think they give a **** about the passenger because 4ways seat also plus I was having a airbag problem the light would be on when someone is sitting in the seat and I gave them a call and they seat.you have to be 140lbs for the airbag to work

i was also wondering about this as my windows are tinted and don't need the extra glare protection. I guess we just have to turn off each time.

I wonder - this being my first car with the auto-dim. Is not having the passenger side auto-dim normal? Do other vehicles skip that side - especially for the "luxury" class cars?

It actually too me a while to get used to the tinting of the anti-glare since when it's total darkness out on the road - the only hint of anything on the road with your are the headlamps. I get worried switching lanes sometimes at night knowing how some drivers forget to turn their headlights on!
