95 GLE TSB questions

before you flame i did search which brought up more questions,

i picked this 95 GLE up for 20 bux with multiple CEL codes, fixed a bunch but the one that troubles me the most is the P0600 line fault code, i already replaced the VSS, and the KS, and the cluster(used 97 cluster, work intermittently and when it doesnt a brisk rap on the dash gets it goin)

From what i have read, the 0600 code is sometimes thrown by a bad speedo head, is there truth to this? I have also read about the TSB NTB96-110 solenoid valve, is this a dealer repair that i should undertake? or(being a mechanic) can i do this myself?

also, the B1S2 code, i read that this is post cat, but when i was under the car i didnt see a post cat O2, but there is a pigtail coming out of the drivers floorpan, is the B1S2 O2 post precat, or post main cat?

last but not least, are there and factory recalls on the 10/94(95) and up GLEs that i should look into?

BTW, im second owner of this mistreated and very abused GLE with 237K

On the earlier maxima 95 and 96 there is an o2 sensor coming out of the Main Cat itselft, that sensor is called B1S2 by the ECU.
that might be the one your looking for.

No I dont have any pics of the engine bay. But I do know that the plug for the rear o2 sensor should be mounted behind the radiator. Take a pic of YOUR engine bay and we can point it out for you.

Also you have a 95 so I think you have a different sensor (3 wire) then the rest of us have.96 and onward used a 4 wire sensor if I'm not mistaken.

nah aint cuttin the bump, the other side is already cut(only about a 1.5" drop, and if the Gauge LEDs work for me...in the car and the spare cluster, there will be a write up for sure, im goin red with them, im assuming the Voltage at the cluster is 12V...so im basing it off that

Are you doing it with the stock cluster or sourcing a digital one?

Great work so far !! Say does your 95 Maxima have the Evap system or is it missing ? Those cars are rumored to have a little more stock power.

As far as I know the evap is there as for more power it feels like its got a little more pep then a 97 ( no CEL) I drove at work. But on the flip I haven't gotten it on a dyno. But watch my threads I should have updated soon (tommorrow or thursday)
