CEL flashing after resetting ecu

Yesterday my CEL came on (steady light) so i went to check to see what code is what giving. It turned out to be P0110, and then i went to reset the ecu and 2 mins later the CEL came back on(expected, didnt fix it). However, now the CEL keeps flashing, any idea whats going on? Is it possibly that i didn't turn the screw on the ecu all the way counter-clockwise? or is this a whole new problem?

It seems that you didnt return the screw back to its original position, thats why its probably flashing

It will keep blinking when you don't reset it properly. Try resetting it again.

I know that this is an old thread, but just wanted to say thanks! I was having the exact same issue, and I just had to try resetting it again.

Ok I thought I would add to this head instead of starting a new one...

I also have a BLINKNG CEL now!

My 98 Max was idling rough and I had major hesitation problems. It felt like the car was choking when I hit the gas. Once she was up to higher speeds in 4th or 5th gear (I have a stick) it wasn't too bad cause I wasn't giving her much gas.

I was pulling 3 codes... P0325, P0134,& P0303... KS, O2 sensor, and Cylinder 3 misfire. My buddy replaced the #3 Coil Pack, the O2 Sensor, the KS, and all of the plugs (I got Platinum plugs.)

After this was done we started her up & we still had the hesitation. We ran the codes again and we now had a Cyl. 4 misfire so he replaced the#4 coil pack too. We started her back up and she idled great and drove excellent with NO hesitation and good power. The problem is fixed! However the CEL was blinking!

He reset the ECU and the CEL is STILL Blinking! I want to get the car through inspection and I don't know if it will fail (I'm in N) cause I think they fail you automatically when they see a CEL on!

Do we just need to try to Reset the CEL again cause maybe it still wasn't reset properly?
Thought??.

Is this how you're supposed to RESET the CEL?
Turn screw clockwise, wait 2 seconds, then counter clockwise, then repeat?
Should the car be off completely or should the key be in the ON position?

1 thing I noticed... When I turn my key to the ON position ALL of the Dummy Lights should go on. My CEL does not go on BUT when the car is running it will blink.... Sometimes it's a slow blinking and sometimes its blinking fast.

And no the blinking is not the code sequesnce. This is happening while I am driving the car!
