How Do I Make A Spare Key If I Have Remote Start?

I have the 5901 in my Max. One of my keys is in the ignition bypass module and I only have one other I use for my main key.

When making an extra key I understand you have to reprogram all the keys you have together.

How would they program the one in the bypass module if I needed another one made?
I'm very confused
Thanks!

call up a locksmith and see what they say. Also, what bypass did you use? I know there are bypasses out there that dont require you too give up a key. Brands like Xpresskits and Flashlogic work great. I have the 5901 on my 98, but obvisouly mine didnt require a bypass.

You should be able to program each key separately, not all at the same time.

Nope I heard they all have to be reprogrammed at once too. I'd suggest you get the keyless bypass module for like 30-40 bucks off ebay, the xpresskit PKALL has worked well for me and others. And then you have your spare key.

I have the same alarm, viper 5901, and use the remote start. What i did i ordered a uncut key with a computer chip already inside the key. Call the locksmith and they programmed and cut the key.. at the dealship,Nissan its usually like 200.. i got my for the 100 or 120 somethin like that..

Also one key was used for the bypass and the other to actually start up the car.

The PKALL is great, the Flashlogic FLCAN is also a good one. Buy them off ebay or Overstock.

what you need to do is take your key to a nissan dealer and have another key made.
i do remote starts everyday and they maximas need the coffin box (key in a box) to actually remote start
i had to get one made for my maxima and it was only 30 bucks

This is Very True i have installed many Vper alarms in nissans and most of the time i either use the xk05 or the iDatalink bypass module.i have found with the viper its more reliable to use the xk05 due to the D2D connection issues the iDatalink has sometimes.Anyway either if these options are way cheaper then a key and you can install them yourself there is only 5 connections to make in the column and the D2D.
