Need your exhaust opinions

Ok, so don't want to break the bank with this car, being its a DD and ya know, there is a home and Z to consider!!!...what do you think about going generic/cheap on the muffler...even in regards to restriction, being I am opening up the Y pipe so much?

Bosal/Walker $32-150...some full piping, some just the muffler...

http://www.drivewire.com/search/index.php?N=0&No=0&Nr=AND%28universal%3A0%29&Npp=1 5&Ntk=Main&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&Ntt=muff ler&D=muffler&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&VN=429496719 3+4294967085+4294967084+4294967078+4294967124&sv=0 &Ns=

EBAY headers, y pipe combo $230 included shipping?....labor time BS worth it? I am assuming prob not...? Good price tho. that same or less than most of just the Y Pipes!!!???? WARPSPEED everyone seems to love and run is only 25$ or so less w/o headers?

MONZA catback $325 shipped we found

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pacesetter-Monza-Exhaust-95-99-Nissan-Maxima-3-0L-V6-/330462849830?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &fits=Year%3A1998|Model%3AMaxima|Make%3ANissan&has h=item4cf11eeb26

$1,125 for this CATTMAN full exhaust seems ridiculous, I do not need the midpipe...so, whats your thoughts?

Go with the piecemeal from first link...and put money into the Y Pipe, where performance will actually matter, & like I SAID RICE/RASP IS NOT WHAT is needed in the Maxi. LOL
I have the modded Z if I wanna rip. This is an AT, DD...not looking for a 12 second car out of this!
Thanks

Are you looking for gains? Sound? Sound&Gains? What is your true budget?

I have the CM catback, the sound is great, No rasp, nice deep sound. Full stainless steel.

The Monza is a rustbucket from what I've heard/read. Aluminized steel sucks. If you get it, I heard spraying it with BBQ paint works (sounds reasonable)

Suxks links arent working!?

Well, MN car with 174k means she is rusted out and hanging/failing, so why car-x it right?

Y pipe will give best hp and flow I know, but need replace whole dam thing, so trying to keep it reasonable...drivewire has cheaper stuff, and it will assuredly last the life of the car but do plan on having awhile....not really caring much about sound, but cannot have rattle rasp BS either....the N1 knockoffs reasonably pirced but 4.5" tips, seriously?

If you get a new Y pipe that isn't cattmans (Which is all or 50% of your proposed budget) you will get rasp so that is out.

Custom Maxima catback (or Ebay) is around 160 (200 shipped for me). Comes with a silencer installed if you don't want the loudness (Look for 95maxed(?), and Chrismans videos in the CM Catback thread).

daily driver=just to get by on day to day so go with a stock replacement comes with piece of mind and dont have to worry abt fitment/passing inspection/$$ invested so your better off with option one,

also remembr which part needs change-dont change an entire exhaust if only your muffler needs the attention

I have a Warpspeed Y Pipe $199
Dynomax Muffler $60

I installed the Y Pipe myself and a muffler install will typically cost you 35-50.

This combo was pretty inexpensive, and sounds great.
