FS 96 Maxima Auto 142k
Up for sale is my 1996 Maxima. It is an automatic, dark green in color with 142K on it. I am not sure of the sub model, it has a sunroof, rear spoiler, and cloth seats. I bought the car from a friend who didn’t have the money to fix the items it needed. When I bought the car it needed tires (which isn’t a big deal for stock wheels but is for aftermarket bigger chrome ones) and a muffler. I got a set of stock alloy wheels and tires for the car and installed a new muffler. Since my plan was to drive this daily I inspected the car (used to do pa inspections) and found bad inner tie rods and a torn cv boot. Replaced the inners with moogs and installed a new r/s axle. The brakes are all good and the rest of the suspension is tight. I start the car atleast once a week just to keep things moving and the other day the check engine light came on. I found out it was a 0903 canister vent control and a “ghost” code for a knock sensor. The plan was to pull the valve off and either clean or replace whichever was needed. I say was because my plans have since changed and the car is up for sale. The antenna is broken, I have a new one to go with the car and the cd player in the car powers on and works but I am unsure how to use it. Has aftermarket rear speakers in it, not sure about the fronts and the trunk is dynamatted.
Overall, the car was driven daily prior to me buying it so it should be a good dependable car which is why I bought it. It will need the engine light addressed (if its that big of a deal I can clean it, but no guarantee it will fix it) so you may need the valve, an alignment since I did the tie rods and I plan on changing the oil before its sold as I already have the stuff to do it. The interior can use a cleaning, has the center vent on pass side broken, and has its fair share of dings, dents, and scratches. The interior had some sort of stick on kit (like carbon fiber) on the plastic pieces and some have come off. The center console lid needs to be bolted back down. I bought it not for its looks but for its dependability. May need other things, but nothing that I can see at the moment other than what I mentioned. I am asking 2000 as that is what I have into it, Im just looking to get my money back and somebody can get a good car out of the deal. I will take offers but like I said this is what I have in the car so I really don't want to move too much off of that. I have the title in hand, signed, and ready to go. The car is NOT licensed, insured, or registered as I was waiting to do this until the car was finished but I will be happy to take you around the block in it. Ok thanks. Hope to have pics up tonite or tomorrow. Also, when I got the car in the summer the ac was cold and I also put new boots on the steering rack when I installed the inner tie rods.
Also don't believe I mentioned this but the car also has new belts on it. The crank pulley was coming apart so I bought one from a user on here and put new belts on it while I was in there.

If you were local I'd pick this up from you. How far is philly from chicago? HA. I'm looking for an AUTO Max as a DD.
Reason it isn't selling is because it IS NOT a 5-speed. Mostly everyone wants a 5 speed...and your ad is way too long...keep it simple...miles, what you've replaced,what it needs, ownership and a little background of you ( ex-pa inspector (proof?) blah blah blah)

Thanks for your response. Chicago is pretty far! Especially with all the snow you guys have! I know when I buy something I want as many details as possible. Guess it is kinda long. Lol sorry about that. And I could show you my pa inspection license if needed! I worked at a ford dealership as a diesel mechanic for roughly five years.

Brakes, suspension and tires all good. Ac blew cold when I got it in summer.
Needs alignment, good cleaning, ck engine light addressed for vent valve and "ghost" ks code, r/s center vent (if you want), center console lid fixed.
Overall starts runs and drives! Doesn't look great but runs good.

still have it. PM sent. I can't seem to find the antenna mast I bought for this car. Not a big deal but hopefully Ill find it.

Oh yes I did, sorry about that..got distracted by the part-outs listings and some other things.
I would have to pass since my other Max ( I bought a month ago from eBay) is going to the car shop next Monday for repairs.
