I think for most cars, the seat belts are life time warranty.

Guess what mine failed as well, goin in on wednesday for a replacement. it was My passanger side also. I just wondered why that side, still puzzles me.

I was gettin a seat belt sensor fail, my boy is a nissan tech and he said they have to change the entire belt as the sensor is incorporated into the belt. i guess it just happenes. I have an 08 with 48K.

How long did you sit at the dealership for while they fixed it? just curious cause my passenger seat belt is iffy sometime and if its not too long of a wait I'd prolly go. Only reason I'm hesitant is cause no one ever rides in my car. I still hve a few months before its legal.

I believe they are only covered if they break under normal use. Obviously if you are in a collision and they break, insurance (or whoever is paying the repair bill) will be forced to foot that bill...
