Will I need an adapter for the K&N intake?
iunno who makes it, it looked like it was for a sentra but i asked to the maxima adapter and they didnt have anything close, all we did was line it up and mark the holes on the adapter and drilled, it works fine.
latecomer to conversation here...are you guys talking about that new k&n intake? the one that looks really funny? even if that's not what you're talking about, how did you get around the maf sensor? did you just route the intake from where the stock air box connects? i think it'd be really neat to get an extension on the wires for the maf sensor so i could mount ram air down below and have it go almost directly into the throttle body. any info or ideas?
if it's the cone intake the adapter is cake to make. all you do is take out your stock airbox, and where it bolts up to the MAF you'll see the screw holes. anyway, look in there and WOW, a brass plate with a 3" horn looking thing. all you do is drill out 2 rivits that hold the plate there, then you either grind the flare part of the horn off, or you bend and grind untill you make it a tube (thats what i did). anyway, most cones have a 3" Inside diameter and will just clamp right on. . . .. .that's what i did. . i posted pics a long time ago.
