I've seen the thread asking where to buy clay bar. I've been to the stores mentioned. I am not satisfied. Every time I want new clay, I do not want to have to buy a bottle of whatever is included with the mother's package and a microfiber towel. I have enough towels. All I want is the clay bar. My questions are:

• Where do auto body shops/dealerships etc. buy clay bar
• What grit should I get for general usage

Surely there is a place on the interwebs where you can buy clay bar without the elaborate packaging and accessories include with retail kits.

They own the formula rights to all clay bars sold in the USA. Mothers, Meguiar's, etc are all based off it.

my question would be, if you only need to clay once a year, why would you need more than they provide in the kit. meguires gives 2 bars of clay, spray, and a towel, ( useless, too small ) and i've used 1 bar on 4 different cars with no problems. do you clay alot cause you live in the desert??

 

yeah i ussually buy maybe two sets of claybar packages, that will last a year atleast for me
