CEL on, but "no failure detected" when diagnosed

Hey guys i have the CEL on, and when i check for codes manually, i get 5 long pulses followed by 5 short pulses. When i diagnose it on the ecu decoder on vbxmaxima it says "No failure recorded/detected". Whats going on? is the decoder messed? Also, another time i checked i got 2 long pules and 15 short pulses, when i diagnosed that, it says "undefined". However, i got that code only once and now i just keep getting the 5 long pulses followed by 5 short ones.... what the hell is going on?

I once had that undefined code (0215) but it came with a knock sensor and evap canister control valve code too..

Knowing a knock sensor does not trigger the cel i fixed the evap canister control valve with some wd40 and the cel went away!

My knock sensor was actually bad tho .. so in my case it wasnt a ghost code.. I swapped the knock sensor and the harness and cleared all codes and that was it!

Try clearing the cel and see if it crops back up with anything else besides the "No failure recorded/detected" & "undefined".

(i used the manual way too i didnt have a scanner)

Yeah that's definatly a weird one, I got the 0505 too
I got the code once before after the cel had been on for about a week. When I finally checked it I got no problems found...

Yeah maybe its some kind of ghost code related to an intermittent issue! Its a strange one for sure.

yea i got a 5-5 code today along with a 8-7 code i think it may be the computer messing up or something not sure 5-5 code is list as nothing so it must be some kind of carry over from another lame *** evap or emissons sensor!

Yep, 0807 is EVAP Canister purge control valve/soenoid valve circuit!

Just swap the front right heated O2 sensor and deal with the 0807. I dont think they are related! I could be wrong tho.. it happens!
