3rd gen diesel, is there such a beast?

3rd gen diesel, is there such a beast?

Did Nissan ever offer a diesel in the 3rd gen (maybe in europe or japan?)

Yeah, it would be slow to accelerate but wouldn't it be cool to blow black smoke and fuel up at truck stops?

I seriously doubt it, but Nissan does make a car with a diesel engine, just not for sale in the U.S.

US spec 3rd gerns only had the VG30E and the VE30DE engines.
other export-only cars (japan, possibly Australia) had a 2.0L turbo in them, but didn't even have as much power as the VE did.

2nd gens had a slightly different version of the VG30E that's in the 3rd gens.

The wagons had a 4 cyl deisel.. I'm not sure whether the wagons were 1st or 1st and 2nd or 2nd gen only.
