Anyone got aftermarket exhaust?

I dont want to pose a stupid question, but as us i30 owners know our mufflers are sort of sunk and hidden behind the bumper. So will I have any sort of clearance issues if I was to install a aftermarket muffler? For example the "Vibrant streetpower flat black" mufflers ?

Anyone got some quick input or pics of installed setups so I can get an idea?

Contact VQ'rInWLA; he is in my friend's list.
He owns an I30 with a Greddy Cat-back system.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was looking for someone with a Second Gen i30 to see if it all lines up with their body, So far all I found is esential210, which has a Cattman axleback and he cut out a bit of his bumper. Wonder if it was necassary? Maybe he will chime in here eventually.

You should just go to an exhaust shop either way. They can fit a lot under there and a lot of places can customer bend you some pipes. If your looking for performance the catalyst is what does the choking, not the catback.

I had the resonator removed and replaces with straight pipe....then have the muffler replaced with a Flowmaster and they fit it with no problems. Exhaust shops are used to making custom setups so they will know what to do to take care of you.

I was actually thinking of trying to fit a 350z/G35 muffler back there. Its horizontally mounted but it may be able to be custon fitted.

here I am although hella late.

Anyways I have a 1st gen and have a GReddy SP on it. The tip actually stuck out the slightest bit so I had the shop chop the smallest bit of the B to have everything seat better. The tip on mine is flush with my bumper. Will post a pic when I get on with my laptop.

In conclusion, just take it to an exhaust shop. They can make anything happen when it comes to fitment.
