Weird door locking problems

now this may be a little weird. I bought my car less than 2 weeks ago. It is a 1991 Maxima Se 5 speed with 98,000 miles. it is one of the best looking stock cars that i have seen, But, the doors will lock from the inside switch, the will lock from the pass. door key. but they will not lock or unlock the door from the key on the drivers door. I don't know what the deal is. the car was in a fender bender about a year ago. where the Drivers Door was backed into. and to solve that they replaced the door, but the locking mech. hasn't worked from the key since.... Anyone have any clue what is up with that?

Go to a good locksmith. that will solve all problems, and if you dont have the orginal key, the locksmith will make one up for you. Where do you live?

well it isn't the key because the key will open the drivers door, it is the power locking and un-locking that goes along with the key, that dosent work. And i am from Morehead Ky.

to all others with a similar problem -->

Check this post. I'm not sure if this is your problem, but there are several people on the list, including myself (mostly with 92+'s) that have this problem:

I like it a lot. I wanted to stay legal and consistent. So I did 35's on the sides and 20 in the rear window.

I like the look. On a cloudy day with the moon roof cover closed, you really can't see in.
