Hey everyone. I'm new to the site, and semi-new to the nissan world. I "inherited" a 97 I30, with around 127k miles from my father after i got rid of my car. The car is in desperate needs of a detail and new suspension. Anyways, I ordered some new parts and I cant wait until they get here!

I just got the axle replaced last night, and I noticed that the car randomly jerks as I am driving. Any idea what is causing that?

 

also, i noticed on the center garnish that there is a license plate indentation. i still have the oem bumper which also has a license plate indentation. what are my options? will it look like crap?

 

Try and find the cefiro bumper. If not, your going to have two license plate sections. That would be awkward.

The rear shocks could be shot, related to your jerking. ( I guess that would be a good question....jerking in the front or back?)

the jerking, is in the front..for some reason it didn't happen today..

as far as the shocks go i just ordered a set of kyb agx.

-in dash tv/navi
-10" jl audio w7
-oem 18-19" rims
-20% tints
-detail!!

 

I would sort out the mechanicals before you buy upgrades. Your not going to look "fly", parked. Going nowhere! lol!
You should check out the front suspension. Sway bar, end links, struts, springs, etc etc.

Just my 2 cents!

One more thing, it looks like the white section of the tailights is diffrent from the oem outter tailights (Looking at VQ'rInWLA's sig, compared to the pics you provided)....looks like everything isn't going to match up right? No? Does anybody else notice this?

 

haha thanks! i am envious of your car! that has to be one of the illest I30's i have ever seen.

we'll see how it looks. im debating if i should just tint the current center garnish and see what it looks like vs the cefiro's only bc of the fact that i have the i30 bumper..

 

the center garnish also comes with both left and right tail lights. as far as the jerking goes i think it might be the steering bushing. i was told that it is somewhat worn. the thing is that before i replaced the axle i never had any issues, but the day-if not hour os so after i replaced it, that is when i noticed the issue.

to come off as a d**k, just saying before you upgrade to bigger wheels make sure the suspension is buttoned up.

 

yep, i already ordered the kyb agx shocks and struts, also got some springs coming in i can't wait

def will post pics when i start doing some work. i dont want to take pictures of my car right now lol i do not like the way it looks i was never a fan of the stock center garnish and wheels.

what kind of rims are those? did you get eyelids for your cefiros?

 

18x8 et42 ASA/BBS JH9. And yeah CF eyelids

 

so the suspension is getting done right now. im going to head over to my friends place to see how it's looking. ill be back with some pics.

When your center garnish comes in, can you snap pics of it pls? Wanna see what color it is (if unpainted or not). Really want one but can only afford it if I sell my 99 tails/center panel first.

Thats what Im thinking too but just to be on the safe side. Dont have the $ to CF wrap it right away so Id have to wear it as it is out the box for the mean time. Im hoping it is black

its going to be like the picture i posted earlier, in black.. i might leave it black i feel like it will flow better with the tints and the blacked out head lights.

 

If your car is any color other then black, then paint the garnish with duplicolor trim black will match with the rest of the black trim on the car prefectly and realy look snappy

 

See my sig pic. Theyre not the Cefiro's, but I did the center section of my old tails black and my car is the same DP0 green.
