i think that would look good and leave the chrome that wraps around the car

If you can pull that off with the grill, do eeeett! Thought about doing the same but it seemed like tedious work and Im pretty impatient so I never did it.

Just got the new heads in. Tried my best to paint the teeth of the grill black. I kind of wish my heads were smoked. shout out to VQ'rInWlA and sy for the pointers.

it's been a while.. i sold them already. had i been around more i would have accepted your offer.

^thanks DIRTY I30. i was thinking the same lol. i broke the bracket when i was messing around with the heads and never got around to getting a new one so i just stuck it in that corner.

on another note, i decided to keep the car and use it as a daily commuter. i need new tires. right now, i have 225/55/17 on the stock g35 rims and they rub on hard turns.

what tires should i get? i honestly don't need anything performance wise. all seasons are fine enough for me. please keep in mind that i'm an unemployed student so money is very tight :/ i don't want to purchase used tires. i have had bad experiences doing so.

what size would you guys recommend so that my tires don't rub?

thanks!

I can't really do much now. I have to get tires first. I think I'm done modding. She just hit 150k so it's pointless spending more money on her. Any input on tire size?

Sorry, don't know much about tire size but you can make your own lip for $9 as I did using materials from Home Depot

You can use 215/55-17 or even 235/45-17 if you wanted. I'm assuming that the rim width is 17 x 7?
