Question on drop springs

Ok i have a choice between a set of 2" drop all around or 1.7 front 1.5 rear springs, price isn't an issue as there going to be a gift and spring preformance is same. my question is this. is 2" too much? will the car still be useable on road over speed bumps and the like?
the I30 rides pretty high stock and i plan to do a bod kit as well,
Any thoughts???

If price isn't an issue, get coilovers and have it any way you like.

I agree with JnCo, I wish I was patient because I can get coilovers now.

The springs will settle also after a few months. So, make sure you take that into consideration also.

Springs don't settle.

Also, if you want an even drop do not get the S-Tech's. There are few springs that drop the A32 evenly, especially autos. H&Rs get it close without dropping it way too much if you're ok with that.

Common misconception.

The springs themselves don't settle (they shouldn't if they're the least bit worth a damn) but the other suspension components like bushings and rubber spring seats deform slightly which could cause a slight difference when the weight is loaded onto the suspension once the vehicle is on the ground.

Eibach, H&R, Swift all state that their springs will not sag and I imagine most other brands are the same.
