300zx tt fuel filter

I dropped in a 300zx tt fuel filter today and let me tell you theres a ginormous difference in the acceleration response with this filter. i dont know if its because it was just a new filter of because its sooooo much larger then the standard Maxima filter but theres a noticeable difference.
Before there was a minimal delay when you really got on it, and my other filter was relatively new considering it was changed like 5-6000 miles ago. But today i took it out after i put the filter in and i tell you i would recommend everyone spend the $18.00 and get the 300zx tt filter. Its easy enough to install for anyone that knows how to use a screwdriver.

I dropped in a z32 filter a month ago and felt to big difference. You really shouldnt feel a difference b/c the filter is just bigger, its not like it flows more fuel.

How old was your old filter.

Also, your sig, are you boosted?
Edit: nvm those arent boost gauges

Was the filter that you previously installed 5-6000 miles ago OEM or aftermarket? If OEM, then IMO what you're experiencing is called "Placebo effect".

i dunno but i know i feel a difference... theres 2 different filters though from what Mr. Advance Auto Parts man told me One for the NA and one for the TT. I dunno. but like i said my stock filter was one 6000 miles in. 2 oil changes. I mean granted i just changed the plugs and PCV valve last week. But i didnt see the real difference until this morning.

Well, I don't know what to say. How was the weather yesterday when you last drove it compared to today? Maybe since you just put new plugs in recently, your ECU finally "relearned" and now you're seeing the difference. Took many variables to consider.

In theory, you shouldn't see a gain. What I think people should take away from all of this is: Don't run out right now and replace your OEM filter with this 300zx filter just for the sake of doing it, but do go with the 300zx filter when it's maintenance time.

it was relatively the same... maybe 5 degrees cooler, but nothing to major. but maybe its the combination of everything. but i changed the plugs and pcv last monday. a week to "relearn"

The only difference between a stock filter and the z32 filter is that it is bigger than stock. That means it will last longer, not give better flow.

No gains should be seen in theory as Wiz is saying.

Idk what to tell you, maybe your old filter was clogged to the point it was causing poor performance?

A week to relearn plug changes? Get out of here.
Ive changed plugs while on the dyno and didnt need no "relearn" time.

You spill like less than 1oz of gasoline total lazy bum.

(shouldn't talk is way over due on an oil change and has a box of amsoil+wix filter sitting in his room).

Also, yeah, my car kicked so much *** after doing the Z32 FF swap...

Y'all are retarded... Lmao... There was never any comment on more power.. I just said it felt like it accelerated harder... However I did look it up to see if there was any difference and on both the sr20 forums and rx7 forums there were multiple statements bout those guys doing it and they said the 300 filter has a slightly better flow rate.. I didn't see any numbers or anything but that's what I read.

If you're still using the same same fuel pump then the size of the filter (as long as it's clean) shouldn't matter right?
