Hey guys. What can be used to buff out a small scratch on black plastic? The plastic above my radio is slightly scratched from a gps cord laying on it. Anything I can do to fix that? I'm a perfectionist or else I would give 2 $hits. Thanks for your prompt attention in this important matter.

Pics? Can you feel it with your fingernail? Is it painted, or molded plastic?

 

I redid my whole bezel by wet sanding with 2000 grit and higher, then rubbing / polishing compound. Then some wax, looks brand new. But advise, if you sand you risk wearing off the paint on the plastic. I did it to an 04 max, the whole center bezel. Worked great, but if its not severe damage, dont do it. Trying the rubbing compound and wax first.?
