Aftermarket Cd Player In Bose Sys???

sup guyz i know i could use the search but i actually did and didnt find wat i was lookin' for. I just bought a sony cd head unit and i wanna get it installed in my '92 SE, which has the BOSE system of course....i just want to be aware of wat has to be done with the whole installation process, so i dont get ripped off. Cuz im not gonna attempt to install it myself and risk frying something or watever. Any Help would be cool...thanx guyz, lata!

ok, when i was looking before and trying to keep the bose, they said they had an adapter that took the radio and went from wattage to milliwatts. . . .cost like 50 bucks. if i were you, i'd just replace the speakers. i got my Xplode 6 1/2's for like 60 at the sony outlet, like 80 for the 6x9's. . . they're all 200W and 3 ways. . . . just my opinion though.

I put a new head unit in my '91 SE that had Bose and at first tried to bypass the individual amps on each speaker. It didn't work very well though. I think the Bose speakers are < 4 ohms, so they draw too much power from your deck. You are better off replacing the speakers too.
