Loud Clicking sound after sitting for 1+ hours

I have 550 miles on my '11 & I have noticed something when I first drive it in the morning or after the car has sat for over an hour or so.

When I picked up my new Maxima from the dealer a couple of weeks ago I heard a loud click once I hit 30 mph. It sounds like something hitting up against the under side of the car (the sound is coming from the drivers side). If I let the car sit for a while and drive it, it does it again when it first hits 30 mph and never does it again until the car is off for a period of time.

I was wondering if this is normal? Could it be something with an ABS sensor or something with a computer?

Never heard any clicking in my '11.

Might wanna put your warranty to use while you still have it.

It's a guess, but it could be the VDC performing it's checks on the system right after startup. If the noise is only happening at the beginning of the warm-up cycle and goes away just as soon as it came, could very well be the VDC doing it's safety checks.

Pop by your local dealer and just have them verify that all is well.

I will do that! I have to take it in at 1,000 miles for them to dump all fluids & refill so I will probably mention it to them then. I will let you all know what I find out.

It is more than likely this. I just took my car to the dealer last week for this same exact reason. After they checked the car out for a day drove through the city and on the highway they said nothing was wrong, but would take me for a drive in it so I could point out what I was hearing. They told me it was the system doing a self-check and was just the ABS system testing itself. He said that most people do not hear it or notice it due to windows down, music, not paying attention, etc.

Still just run it by there anyways, better safe than sorry.
