NEED HELP!! Bose stereo with Box in the trunk
NEED HELP!! Bose stereo with Box in the trunk
I'm almost done redoing my trunk and I ran into a problem. I cut out a new board to line the whole trunk and made it so that the amp is in a lowered box covered with plexiglass. I had to take the amp and the box out to do this, and when I put it all back in, it doesn't work. The power light on the amp lit up for a second and then went out. I checked the fuse on the amp and the fuse near the battery and they are fine. The amp is hooked up right, and my volt meter says its getting power. This happened once before and I took it back to the place that installed everything, and they said I blew a fuse under the dash somewhere.
I looked but I couldn't find anything. I don't want to go back to the stereo shop, cause last time they charged me $25 for a damn fuse. Any ideas??
Ken

Re: NEED HELP!! Bose stereo with Box in the trunk
sounds like you may have a grounding problem somwhere. make sure the amp is properly grounded and that the wiring (system control, etc.) is good to go. Also, you may have more lick with this in the Audio forum.
