Resetting Your ECU

I reseted my ECU yesterday by unpluging the battery for like 12 minutes. Everything was reseted like when your buying a new Maxy. I had to adjust Auto windows, Steering Wheel, Driver's seat ugghhh... As soon as I was done I took the car out on the road drove extremely agressive and took it to the highway hitted high numbers. The car accelerated and responded much better than it used to!

The only thing Im pissed is that our cars can go 130 top speed but ot still goes after took a little bit of time but w/e

I was talking about my resonator being deleted in the other thread an I came up with an idea.
I have a Stillen Intake, Racingline Y-Pipe and that's it. I want to delete the Resonator and put a straight pipe or get a G37 Resonator and work with it since its different from our Maxima's.

I tried to do what scott l said and its impossible to do tried like 20 times couldn't get it for some reason and I'm pretty good at stuff like that even with a stop watch it still hard why couldn't it be something simple like hold down the gas and start button or odo button and thats it ? thanx nissan for complicating our lives just that much more lol

Does doing it this way really make a difference or is it just an urban legend? seems to me like cleared is cleared no matter how it's done...but what do I know

It took me a few times to get it. I guess the advantage of this procedure is that it still holds other preference information...radio presets, etc.

I noticed the ECU reset more on my 350Z than I do on my max, but since I've been doing more expressway driving and less stop and go, it feels more lively.....if all you do is city driving, the reset should work. 350Z guys swear by the reset......

Slightly off topic question, If I had the ECU reflash for the transmission fix and I reset the ECU by unplugging the battery, does it lose the reflash?
