my 96 5speed max seems slower help

what are some things I can do to see if she is alright
any tests.
I have 96,000 miles is there anything that might start
to go wrong that can slow my car down.
mods
intake
y pipe
exhaust

you can do a compression test and a leakdown. Both things are not too expensive.

Make Throttle Body Cleaning a part of your frequent maintenance program. I used to be weary of its purpose until I did it myself. Many people here swear by its results.
