possible to disable CEL without clearing the engine code

Here is the situation. I bought the car in April-2011 with no CEL on the dash. Last week I went for emission test and they pulled 5 codes (P0140, P0303, P0325, P0450, P1444) but no CEL. I looked up these code online and any one of them should've trigger CEL. So I think the sales guy or the previous owner did something to the car to disable the CEL. Is this possible? I want the CEL back, any idea how to reverse this and get the CEL working again?

I already ordered the parts for the problems. I think I can fix everything except P01450 and P1444. I know my vapor check valve is bad because I am having problem fueling. but not sure if replacing it would clear the above two code - because one complains about the pressure and the other code complains about not getting signal.

DAmn thats a slimy a** person that pulled the CEL bulb.

Yes, its def possible to pull the bulb or it may have jus burned out.

EIther way, before u buy any used car, always turn the key to the "ON" position and make sure all the dash lights work.

Double check that the ECU is in the correct mode via the diagnostic screw, my screw came out an its in the wrong mode so the light will not come on upon initial key turn which will cause immediate bulb check failure for emissions, not sure if the light will come on for an actual code yet, my codes were cleared an still waiting to see if the light comes back on.
