hey org! so I've gotta 2000 Infiniti I30t. I want to install remote start but need an extra key for the installation to bypass the security. the car only came with one key so 1) Can I program an old key from another 2000 I30 (used key)? 2) is the dealer the only person that can program these keys? 3) who else has remote start? how'd the installer bypass the security and key sense?

my install includes a 791xv and a 556u module....any input?

 

I'm currently in the market like yourself for a remote start. I'm going to get mine installed next week and I only have one key. The installer told me that he is able to program the system to start without me giving him a spare key to be locked in the car. The the product I'm looking to get is a prestige alarm with paging and remote start.
