HID Xenon Headlights Pre-Purchase Question

Hello All -

First legitimate post (>15 posts!).

I am putting a list of options on a 2012 Maxima SV that I want to order and have it delivered right off the truck to me. I'm not concerned that the dealer told me it could take up to 60 days. I've got the time and a really nice 1999 Maxima to drive until then.

I'm wondering what the $400 optional Xenon HID Headlights will bring me. If this functional or aesthetic? Are they really expensive to replace or burn out quicker than standard headlights?

Any of you have them and have anything to add?

Thanks. This forum has been awesome in helping me with my purchase!

My 2010 SV sport has these and I love them. You see them a lot on cars these days ... They are supposed to last longer than halogen bulbs...

if you don't get them now...you will probably convert them with a kit, but easier and better to get it OEM

Awesome! Thanks for the replies. There's just no description of them on the Nissan website and since both of my cars now are pre-2000 I have no idea what to expect!
