wow....8 degree weather makes a big difference in acceleration!

I was coming home from my sisters house on I90 at 2a.m. with no one around so I just punched it. 80-135mph came really fast. I backed off because I saw some headlights comming up. WOW! It still pulled great going past 130mph. I wish I had a track around my area to see how fast it is in this weather.

I also noticed 3-4 shift was REALLY slow..it took about 3 seconds to make the shift Damn selenoids

Now that Seattle has finally got some cold air out...

I've noticed the added pull. High speed acceleration particularly...70-80 without downshifting and I feel solid response from the engine in 5th.

I've been driving around in -20 degees celsius recently and I can't really tell that much of a differance. Maybe it's the altitude in Calgary....maybe I'm just insensitive.

With no changes to my car, an ambient temp drop from ~80 down to ~50 dropped my ET from 15.8 to 15.2.

So, yes Virginia, air temp makes a HUGE difference.
