Planning on buying some slicks for the track

I'm looking for a pair of slicks for my 04 maxima but have no clue on what's a good brand, size and profile. I have two options. I bought a set of 18" 350Z wheels just for racing so I could just buy some 18" street legal slicks tires and slap it on and not have to worry about having to drive up to the track then switching to another set. Or I can get 17" alluminun rims with track slicks.

My car is lowered 1.5" so i'd need a tire size for the 17" alluminum rim or 18" with that application. I know that the bigger the walls are the better. So can you all suggest what will fit on the 17" and 18" with a 1.5 lowering application.

Do you have a chart for 17"? I'm trying to compare the price between the 17" plus the rim. I know sometimes the smaller tire might cost just as much as a bigger tire and in some case more.

Perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect for stock 17's and pretty much the stickiest tire you can get for a 17 for straight line racing. and with a 205 wide tire you really dont have to worry about scrubbing at all

in the 275 would be fine also but a little closer to scrubbing

I never bought tires or rims from the US because the brokerage can not be determined until the items arrive. That one don't offer shipping to Canada but I'll try to find it locally before I purchase a pair from ebay. I like those two styles

yeah i just used ebay to give you a quick link to the tire. Try your local listings and craigslist. people sell them slightly used all the time. Mustang and Camaro owners use these on the stock 17's for street/strip racing. A full slick is always a better choice but they are so hard to find for 17's at a decent price.
