Has anyone done an actual R34 Skyline conversion on a MAX?
In short, I want an ER34 Skyline Sedan. I can't get one here (in USA), so I've thought many times to do an actual rear end and front end conversion on a Maxima or Altima. I wonder if anyone has already done it, I mean using actual taillights, maybe the trunk lid, rear bumper, front bumper, headlights, maybe fenders, hood, and grill. I used to have a 3rd gen that I thought would make a good conversion candidate. I am getting another Max soon. I'm still deciding between a 3rd gen or 5th/5.5th gen, or even an Altima (since their rear end is more squared off). What do you guys think?

a guy threw R33 tails on a 3rd gen, but otherwise its just easiest to get a actual Skyline. or get a R32 or R33 sedan from over here and R34 convert it, i know people with R32's that they converted to R34's and it looks pretty good

When it comes to custom fabrication and body work nothing is impossible man. Just try to find a reputable "customizer" with experience in conversion who is up for the task. I mean if you have the money for the conversion why not. Chryslers are converted to phantoms, hondas are being turned into bugatti's and every other enthusiast out there is coming up with something that's rasing the bars.
You should definitely try to get it done, that way you can have the bragging rights to say you was the first one to do it. Good luck

Why cant you get a skyline here? the only skylines truly hard to find are the GT-R's. There was a thread I posted all the info you should need to locate a skyline. If you have the money its not a problem

its hella expensive and I am not 100% on how to. I think you have to go thru an importer but www.kamikaze-drive.com has some.

Ive never heard of them. Are they street legal? probably not. Motorex was the only compnay who ever successfuly imported GT-R's into the country for street use. Now the guys in jail bc he is a Yakuza lol. sad story bc it probably wont be done again

I'm talking about the ER34 4-door Skyline, some of which came with AWD, Manual Trans, and NEO 2.5L Turbo. I don't think those are available State Side. I've only ever seen 2-Dr versions. As for the R32, I would think of that but I'm still not sure that the 4-DR versions are available and if they would be good for swapping the front and rear for the R34 look. As for converted Maxes, anyone have pics? I've seen the 3rd gen w/ R33 tails. I'm looking for R34 conversions (actual OEM Skyline headlights and tails). I have a pair of ER34 Tails already set to install once I get the car. I also have one headlight, so let's see what happens.
