We've spoke about it already

I have my outer LED tail boards that have to be cut and shipped back to kzoosho so he can do his magic. Then when that's all done, I can fit the projectors in the reverse lights and wire up the HIDs for that with the LED boards. Aside from that, I've got nothing new going on.

If I wasn't going the LED tail route, I was gonna stuff four bi-xenon projectors back there for brake lights but I'm not sure how HIDs in there would work. They'd take way too long to come to full brightness. Maybe if I fit halogens hmmmm..

I've gone insane.

Those hids in there would take to long to hear up when you hit brakes and would you be able to have a hi-low brake light with a hid kit? Maybe run too hot also.... Maybe LED bulbs? @tigersharkdude, thank you! I have skimmed that article before but never read thoroughly.... Defiantly helpful

I'd prefer halogens > LED bulbs if I were to do that. The LED bulbs wouldn't be bright enough.

Im slowly but surely talking with a friend about taking out the solid rear axel on my 4th gen and putting in a custom independent rear(dont ask me why, I love my 4th gen and yes im crazy in getting it to out perform the popular nissan platforms). The SC project is taking up most of my time and money as of late but ideas don't cost money. I want to have the best handling 4th gen out there and hopefully before this summer is over....the beast will awaken

Teh hecks. Is that even possible? If I were you I'd factor in if it's worth the time and money, you could just get another car for the money or even better mods. In the end, you don't have to listen to me it's what you desire but factor in everything

oh its possible and by the time i'm done with my 4th gen I probably could of had an AMG. The love for my car is at a scary level. More than most even on this forum. I might even be brave enough to post pictures once that lil gem of a project is done.

Have you thought about doing a RB26DETT too? I mean, you are doing IRS. Might as well, right?

that would take the heart out of the 4th gen and make it like every other import with a swap. I am happy with the capabilities of the vq30

That's true man, God handcrafted the VQ30DE's. They are amazing power plants.

Besides, RB26DETT's are overrated, everyone and their mom has one swapped in their cars.

Sounds absolute bat**** crazy. I thought that was you that posted that video on YouTube of the reverse HID projector. Then again I've got the old way of running HID reverse lights in the works.

I started accessing the rear deck to dynamat it and replace all components of the Bose system.

Then my left backseat seatbelt locked up and won't release. I'm considering letting a local group (Premier Sound) swap the audio components over, and seeing if they can fix the seatbelt. If not I'll prolly just delete that seatbelt, for now.

Lightly sanded the front bumper after removing it yesterday. Later today I'm going to start chiseling off the lower radiator support then weld on the new OEM sometime this weekend. I might fill the front & rear mounts with window weld after inspecting them. Waiting on the fenders that I'll be painting along with the bumper. I'll also be sanding and clearcoating the lights.

Yup, that was me lol I think the first and only one to do it. I used to run just HIDs but I'm taking it to another level.

There will be plenty of pics and maybe a vid when done. Stay tuned.

I'm so jealous of you guys. Seems like my projects involve BS little things that just nickel and dime me to death. I have a NASTY squeaking in my accesory belt somewhere. I have a feeling its only a simple idler pulley bearing issue or even just tension. But thats kinda a big deal because the stupid bolt is stripped to loosen the damned thing. I have to be a weekend warrior with my daily driver in order to save money, instead of taking it into a shop for every little issue. :/

sounds like everyones got something to do.. my "project" consists of replacing the trans the whole front and rear suspension, power steering leaks, valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets, interior work, and get her ready for summer.. (we average 115-118 in the summer) so possibly go through the whole cooling system word of advice.. dont put off preventative maintenance on your max, JUST DO IT!! haha

Dont be too jealous lol I didnt give a timeline on my suspension project for a reason. Its going to take a VERY long time. To save money on the belt, use conditioner over time. keeps the rubber in top shape so you dont develop squeeks.

The RB engines are very very nice but the lightweight aluminum vq30 is hard to beat. With cam's and pistons and boost? I dont need 700hp like the dyno queens. I want reliable power and a suspension that keeps all 4 wheels on the ground. Thats my goal in a nutshell
