How do you take out the rear seat(s)? Does anyone know how much it weighs? If I go to the track, I guess this is the only seat I can remove since I have front side impact air bags, and I heard that if you disconnect the connection for it, it throws an error code to the ECU. Thanks!

 

The bottom bench section of the rear seats comes out easily. If you lift the front edge on the rear seat, there's a little pull-ring on the left and on the right. Pull a ring and lift up on the seat. Have to do this on each side. Now the back portion of the seats, that's a little trickier and requires unbolting stuff, which I haven't done.

 

Weight wise, it is damn near nothing, it is nothing but FOAM and some springs.

I would say 5-10lbs MAX

yup, i think with the weight of the rear seats, its not worth the time to do it

 

yeah that foam thing is like anti matter. lightest part on the car. You should just fill the car with helium before heading to the track

 

Don't eat for 3 days before going to the track. It will probably be easier and a bigger gain then the seats!!!

 

Try 2 days cuz three, you may not be able to press down the pedal as hard is as needed for a good E.T.
