Which exhaust system

OK I am in search for an exhaust system for my 2011 Max SV sport. I am leaning towards the Stillen System, back section only. I am not looking for total performance, or to break the bank. I would just like a little better sound for right now. I don't really want to hack up my stock system and just replace the muffler either. I would prefer a bolt on set up. As far as sound goes, I would like a nice deep tone. Thanks in advance for any advice, or directions on where to look. HoustonQX3

To my knowledge, there is only one bolton axle-back (mufflers only) available. Thats the Stillen for $450. Otherwise, it will have to be a catback system. Stillen sales one for $800 and Megan Racing sales one for $650-700ish. Otherwise, youre looking a welding new mufflers on. I think Borla makes a catback for right at $1000 as well. There may be some cheapie ebay bolton mufflers...dunno havent looked. Just check around. Dont think Magnaflow has anything for our cars yet...but Im sure they will in time.

Dont waste yourt money with all that bolt-on garbage. All you need is to delete your resonator and buy two new mufflers/tips. Thats essentially what a cat back system is, they just make it easy for you or the installer by making it a bolt on kit. I personally bought two magnaflows with tips and deleted my resonator and it sounds wayyyyy better than the stillen cat back system.

Still the resonator does serve a purpose, one of which is to prevent increased and unwanted exhaust drone within the vehicle.
But as they say, "to each their own".

The only thing you have to be wary of is the exhaust shop doing the installation. If they do a good job, you can end up with an awesome sounding system that looks great for half the price. However, if you end up doing what I did and having two magnaflow mufflers installed on my 2010 Tundra for $300, only to turn around a year later and spend $900 to get a TRUE Magnaflow catback because what was on there had rusted through (muffler, pipe and tip) and leaked like a ****. Well, let's just say that I won't be going that route ever again.

The phrase "if you wanna play, you gotta pay" applies.
