6speed 7th gen in queens ny?
6speed 7th gen in queens ny?
I had a friend of mine call me screaming saying he saw a stick 7th gen in queens today! i forgot to ask him what color the car was but he said the plate said 6speedVQ (or something like that) has anyone in the queens ny area seen this car?????? im dying to do a 6speed swap on my car
nah u cant different engines the best possible choice would be the 2008 altima 3.5 ecu
i went to theshopct.com to see how much they would charge which wasnt much @ all but they said doing that swap since its never been done would be like having sex with a strnger with no condom .....thats not a good analogy
I might be over simplifying this, but couldn't you just swap in the 6 speed from an altima coupe? It is the same motor, VQ35DE, and same platform, Nissan D. Seems to me like you could simply swap the tranny, I would think they both use the same motor/tranny mount. A bigger issue might be ensuring equal length half shafts. Otherwise that motor is gonna make some awful amounts of torque steer. Then you could use the altima ECU/TCU with a custom program to make it all communicate.
Would be very interesting to find that 7thgen with 6speed. But how did he know it was 6speed? And how surprised and stunt he was, why didn't he take a pic?
With this world of everyone having a camera phone, why did your friend not take a pic of the car? His fastest reaction was to call you? Well, next time let him make use of his phone and take a pic before calling you. I am sure taking a pic is less than 3 minutes. Or maybe less than 1 minute. Now, we don't know for sure or have any glimpse of the car.

i kno u dont need the TCU ....i really wanna do it but im scared as shyt to ginni pig my car
warrently isnt the problem for me neither is getting all the parts found all the parts for $600 from a crashed altima with 20K miles a tranny shifter pedals n all that good stuff from a salvag yard
The transmission from the Sentra SE-R (Spec V??)...whatever the 6-spd model is with the 2.5L high output engine....those transmission will bolt on as well AND they have LSD built in. YEAH BUDDY!! That's worth checking on.
Always blew my mind they'd throw an LSD into a 4-cylinder powered Sentra and not the V6 powered Altima 3.5SE.
