typical leaking trunk

so I've heard several people end up with leaking trunks but hadn't heard the typical solution. is it just the weatherstripping seal around the trunk? looked around but just don't see an obvious answer. at one time I actually pushed on the metal section (inside the trunk) between the back landing and the trunk. seems to be a double layer there, anyway when I pushed on it a good amount of water came out. anyone have any ideas?

A quick fix, you could silicone the inside of the trunk where the bolts are

don't have a spoiler or anything so not sure which bolts you are referring to.

Most trunk leaks are from the tail lighs.
The large lip around the trunk makes it virtually impossible for water to get it.
Check the spoiler mounts, if you have one.
