Clutch noise

Unfortunately I believe my maxima is just spiraling out of control with problems that are overwhelming me to no ends.
I was just on my way to the dealer to get the motor looked at and i noticed for the first time a noise that could be compared to a creaking door, everytime i engage the clutch. Whats confusing me is that it is working perfectly. Just making noise. If anyones got some info on it.
It'd be greatly appreciated.

2003:

1. Throw out bearing
2. Clutch linkage (in the car)

Have the linkage inspected by a competant person for bushing/pivot wear,
However, it's unlikely that this linkage is the problem, it should be checked before condeming a TOB.

yea tuner is right, my good friend had the same issue with his 6 speed. funny noise coming from the clutch of the car, when the pedal was pressed it went away, as soon as he let off the clutch pedal it came back, and it was the throw out bearing!

You know, I have the same noise. When I push down the pedal, for the last few inches, there is a squeaky sound. Release/Throw out bearing a hard job?

2damax, yours is probably a mechanical component issue, such as the clutch linkage/pedal, or the pivot ball for the Throwout fork inside the bell housing that moves the TOB.

Squeeking is usually a mechanical component. Our clutch pedal assemblies are known to squeek with age and it's normally a little nylon bushing that's worn/missing at the pivot IIRC.

TOB is a bit of a big job on the Maxima though, you have to pull the tranny to do it.
